This Intrinsic Value Calculator is based on Warren Buffett's "Ten Cap Price" also known as "Owner Earnings" calculation. Buffett refers to Owner Earnings as the crucial item for valuation purposes, both for investors purchasing stocks and for managers acquiring entire businesses.

There are various methods for calculating Intrinsic Value, such as using the DCF (Discounted Cash Flow) Model or EPS (Earnings Per Share). Additionally, our new applications "Intrinsic Value Calculator DCF" and "Intrinsic Value Calculator EPS" are now accessible on the App Store.

According to Warren Buffett's Value Investment Theory, the decision to buy should consider several factors:

<li>Company must have a competitive advantage.</li>
<li>Company should have shown strong performance over the past 10 years, recovering from market corrections and recessions.</li>
<li>Company must demonstrate long-term prospects and remain relevant ten years from now.</li>
<li>Company's market price should be 20-30% lower than the calculated intrinsic value to provide a margin of safety.</li>
</ol>

It may seem illogical for a strong company to have its market price significantly below its intrinsic value. However, this can be due to various reasons such as negative news about the company, industry trends moving away from favor, market corrections, or recessions.

Currently, Warren Buffett's indicator, the historical ratio of Total Market Cap over GDP, stands at 181%. This signals that we are in the largest Stock Market Bubble in history exceeding the "DOT-COM Bubble" of 2001 or the "Housing Bubble" of 2008, indicating a potential upcoming correction.

The goal of this application is to assist value investors in determining intrinsic value. Necessary values for calculation can typically be sourced from a company's latest annual report or through online searches if not available in the report.
